For the first 56 days after SIM card activation, internet roaming works only under basic tariffs (in most countries) or via the "Additional Roaming" service (available in 34 countries).
What is the "Additional Roaming" service? With this service, you can activate one of the following internet packages: ✔ 5 GB for 7 days – 150 UAH ✔ 15 GB for 14 days – 250 UAH ✔ 40 GB for 21 days – 550 UAH
If your Lifecell SIM card has detected a network, follow these 3 steps to activate the service:
1. Activate a tariff using a USSD code or in the My Lifecell app
We recommend activating the cheapest tariff, "Gadget Security" – 135 UAH for 12 weeks. This tariff does not provide internet roaming, but the "Additional Roaming" service will not work without it.To activate, enter the USSD code *510# on your phone’s dial pad, press the call button, then select 1 and confirm by pressing 1 again.
To enable the "Gadget Security" plan through the app, tap the house icon at the bottom center, then go to the "Tariffs" section and select "see all" From the available tariffs, choose "Gadget Security," tap "Activate tariff," and then tap "Switch". The app will immediately prompt you to pay for the plan, and you need to do this using a bank card, Google Pay, or Apple Pay.
2. Top-up your account
⚠ Before topping up:Turn off mobile data in your phone settings (Wi-Fi can stay on).Switch your network mode to 2G.After activation and GB allocation, you can turn mobile data back on and switch to 4G or 5G.Why is this important?❗ If you don’t disable mobile data and switch to 2G, your phone may automatically connect to the internet at standard roaming rates, deducting your balance and preventing roaming package activation.
Top up your account with an amount sufficient to cover both the tariff fee (135 UAH) and your chosen roaming package (150 UAH, 250 UAH, or 550 UAH).
3. Order the "Additional Roaming" service
To activate, enter the USSD code *108*2# on your phone, press the call button, select the GB amount (1, 2, or 3), and confirm by pressing 1.You can also do this on the top-up page or in the app while topping up your account. You need to enter a top-up amount of 0 UAH and, in the "Promotional Roaming" section, select either "Additional Roaming: 15GB" or "Additional Roaming: 40GB" (it is not possible to activate the 5GB package this way). After that, you should proceed to pay for the service.
After activation, you will receive an SMS confirmation with the allocated GB.To check your remaining GB, re-enter the USSD code *108*2#.
ℹ You can order this service multiple times.
Previously, after 56 days from SIM card activation, Lifecell users could activate special roaming tariffs with large data packages — for example, 40 or even 50 GB of internet. However, starting from June 25, 2025, and November 26, 2025 the mobile operator has updated its terms: tariffs with more than 18 GB of internet for roaming no longer exist.
You can top up your account using a bank card on the Lifecell website https://oplata.lifecell.ua, in the "My lifecell" application (Balance → Top up) or top-up Lifecell through Allegro. You can top up for any amount from 20 hryvnias (UAH).Do not select or pay for any additional services when topping up (Internet, minutes, sms), as these are intended for use in Ukraine only and will not work in roaming. An exception is the situation when you plan to activate the "Additional Roaming" service. In this case, the top-up amount should be 0 UAH, and in the "Promotional roaming" section, you need to select the appropriate 15 GB or 40 GB package.
● Checking the balance of gigabytes for roaming*108*5#● Ordering the service Additional roaming and checking the remaining gigabytes *108*2#● Account balance check *111#● Ordering a new package of services before the expiration of the previous one *700#● Checking the balance of roaming minutes for calls to Ukraine *108*4#● Check phone number and tariff *161#● Changing the language of communication with Lifecell (UKR/ENG) *133#● Number validity period *121#
All tariffs include minutes for roaming calls to Ukrainian numbers. Voice roaming for these minutes is available in Poland, Moldova, Romania, Slovakia, Belgium, Luxembourg, France, and Spain.
IN UKRAINE, THERE IS NO OBLIGATION TO REGISTER A SIM CARD (eSim) - THE NUMBER IS COMPLETELY ANONYMOUS.
You can change the tariff plan in the My lifecell application, but if you do not know the detailed conditions of the tariff plan you plan to switch to, don't rush to do so, it is better to consult with the seller. The conditions of tariffs in roaming differ from those in Ukraine. To change the tariff, you need to top up your account for the cost of the new plan and make a request in the application or dial the USSD code.
We wish you a pleasant use!
Lifecell provides a Ukrainian IP address, so it may happen that some internet services or streaming platforms (Netflix, Hulu, Disney+, 23Max, Filmbox+, CANAL+ Online, Viaplay and TV Smart Go) will not work in the EU. Geoblocking is a problem that especially affects people traveling in Europe or living in countries with limited access to popular platforms. To solve this problem, we recommend using Surfshark VPN. Tests have shown that this VPN provider has the best results and is relatively cheap.
VPN is a reliable solution that allows you to bypass restrictions by offering a virtual change of location. This allows the user to assign themselves an IP address of a country where access to the platform is possible.
Surfshark VPN not only allows you to access streaming platforms, but also ensures security and privacy on the internet. By encrypting your data and hiding your IP address, you can use the network without worrying about tracking or regional restrictions.
What's more, Surfshark VPN allows you to use the service on multiple devices at the same time, which is ideal for the whole family.
